So yesterday I definately felt like a kid again..and it was great! In the afternoon I dusted off my old skates, too them to get sharpened and then went to the rec center for a little skate. It was great! Yes, I felt flat on my ass but hey I got better! There was nobody else there so I had the whole place to myself. Had my music going, it was sunny, just a really nice afternoon.
Later on after supper I went to Ashly's to see if they wanted to watch a movie but she said she was going sleding. She invited me to come along so I did, and boy did we have a good time (*Pictures on facebook) So Christine, Amy, Ashly and I went on a trek for the perfect hill, which happened to be right outside our houses. We had a sleding tube and two crazy carpets. We had a blast! Falling off the sleds, crashing into the snow, eating a mound full of snow..brought me back to being a kid again. Then after we all tired ourselves out, what with not being kids anymore it's easy for us old folk to tucker out, we all went back to Danielle's and had some wine and chocolate. All in all a good day. Plus I got my Christmas cards finished and can put them in the mail tomorrow. :D

Sorry for the delays
So yes I've missed a few days on this thing but it's just cause i've been busy at work and when I come home I don't really feel like being on the computer. Although today is my one and only day off this week so I figure it's time to catch up on some things.
Lets see..Christmas um wellllll wasn't that great for me. Went into work and basically got yelled at by my supervisor for a mistake i had made the day before. Totally ruined what little Christmas I had. Never..Never! have I ever been yelled at by a supervisor (especially not at the front desk where people can hear). She should have known better but she is the type of person who will probably have a heart attack at 35 cause she doesn't know how to handle stress or talk to people for that matter. The rest of Christmas for me sucked cuase I had to deal with suprisingly cranky guests..Like geeze people! It's Christmas! So sadly I was happy to have the day over with. It's funny cause I was a little upset at work about it, which I didn't want anyone to see but Carter tried to cheer me up by taking me on a walk around the hotel. Only problem was, everyone could see I was upset so of course everyone was chatting about it afterwards so they knew what happened. Although it was nice cause people were very concerened and said I had every right to be upset.
Boxing day was alright, worked in the morning and then afterwards in the evening went over to Everette and Ashly's where Carole and Stu and Adam were all there. I watched the end of the Goonies with them, the beginning of Howard the Duck, the beginning of Evil Dead 2, and the middle and end of The Shinning. So all in all I guess I kind of got to watch a whole movie. Went over to Pascal's afterwards and watched him sharpen Bob's cooking knives and then watched Drawn together (Yes, Tina I said Drawn Together) It's a gross show but it is pretty funny.
Saturday I worked in the evening. It was busy but not too busy which was good. Made the time go by fast. Afterwards we went over to Melany and Simon's to have a few drinks and of course eventually I got drunk off of my Christmas wine that I bought..ah Drunk Alice was unleashed again. It was kind of funny, out of all the people there I was the only one who didn't speak German/Swiss German..felt a little odd but people did speak english for me so that was nice, course near the end of the night it really didn't matter..english wasn't that clear to me either hahaha!
Last night I worked in the evening and afterwards head over to #10 to watch a movie with Pascal but he was fast asleep, so instead I played poker with the guys. Ended up winning $30 from a split pot at the end of the night so that was pretty cool. Played till 3am which yeah, is a long game since I started at 11:30 but you know that's how it goes.
So I'm off today and have a few things I want to do. Go skating for starters number 1, finish writing my Christmas/ birthday cards and send those out. Then maybe tidy up a bit. Call some people and try to go watch a movie over at Ashly's. I borrowed the Waitress from work so I'm looking forward to seeing it. Well that's it for now, more later :)

Merry Christmas!....again
So it's Christmas, but it's weird..it doesn't feel like Christmas. First time being away from home for the holidays and for the most part I wish I was home. But that's not to say that I haven't had a good Christmas.
Last night Pascal and I went to the Chef's rocklette party at his house. Rocklette is a Swiss dish made up of melted cheese and then you put different kinds of meat and vegetables in it. It wasn't bad and we actually had a good time. I say that cause the chef can sometimes be a little mean but maybe it was good that we all spent time with him on Christmas since his family is over in Japan and he can't be with them for the holidays.
As for gifts, well I gave Pascal his two gifts from me. A red plaid shirt (he loves plaid) and a brown beret (for someone who hates being called french he certainly likes to wear berets)
I got some comic books..YAY (such a geek I know). We or at least I had some lovely New Zealand wine to celebrate which wasn't bad. So all in all it wasn't a bad night.
Talked to my mom and Ellen this morning. Guess Ellen is having a blast in Ottawa. Good for her, I'm glad she is enjoying this Christmas. She was so worried it wasn't going to go well but it seems to have worked out for her. Mom and Anne had a good Christmas too. Lots of gifts I guess. I opened up my card from my mom with her on the phone and it was really sweet. Gave me a cheque for $100 and Anne drew me a card (so creative) of the cartoon unicorn Charlie and his friends (haha so freakin funny I love it) with a cheque as well for $20. Ah I miss my family but I'm glad they all had a good Christmas.
Now I must be off to work for 2:30 ( Boouuurns) and then I work till 11pm and the next day 6:30am. So I apologize guys if I won't be around to get your phone call but I wish you a merry Christmas and I'll be home tomorrow afternoon after work so If you want to call than that would be good.

Wow this Christmas could...suck!
As I sit back and reflect on today I came to the conclusion that this Christmas.... could really bite! Let's see...Work was stressful today, I ordered flowers for my mother for her birthday today but they never got delivered because the lady who left me a message on my phone said, and I quote "WE ARE SORRY YOUR FLOWERS NEVER GOT DELIVERED TODAY BUT WE ONLY HAVE ONE DRIVER IN THAT AREA AND HE IS NOT GOING BACK UP TO GREENWOOD TODAY"..NOT GOING BACK UP TO GREENWOOD?! If I am not mistaken that store I ordered from is in the Kingston Superstore which is oh um....10 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE!! AND HE COULDN'T GO BACK UP!! BULLOCKS! How lazy are these people!!! Ruined my mom's surprise, so I am definatley getting my money back and they have just lost some business. Utter ridicoulousness!!..oh yes back to why Christmas could suck..Plus I am away from my family and friends back home..however I do have good people here to spend Christmas with.
Tried calling Ellen today. She has to call me back cause she is in a limo apparently and couldn't talk :S Well at least she's having fun.. She is up visiting her future inlaws in Ontario and sounds like things are going well.
Tried calling my mom and other sister Anne, to wish them a merry Christmas and a happy birthday but again no luck. Oh well will try again later.
But Christmas for me isn't about the gifts or the turkey dinner..i could care less about that in a way..even though i feel bad my presents are going to be late arriving this year..but it's about being with the ones you love and remembering that Jesus Christ was born on this day and was a blessing to all man kind. So despite some slight hiccups this holiday season, Christmas will still be Christ-mas, as it should be.
Well tonight I have to go deliver Ashly and Everette their gift I got them..box of chocolates, can't go wrong with Chocolate. Also wrap my secret santa gift for tomorrow, write up my christmas cards and then go visit Pascal and give him his gifts...or at least try to.
Will call everyone tomorrow hopefully before I go to work for 2:30 to wish them a Merry Christmas!

Sucessful shopping trip!
So as you can tell from the title of this blog, I had a very sucessful shopping day in Banff. Went in with Everette, Adam, Chloe and Adrian. It was good! We rented a car which cost us each $20 total, which beats the price of a bus for sure. We went in for 4pm and got back around 9ish.
I got gifts for my two sisters, Jenn V cause she was my secret santa, my secret santa at work, Andrew, and Pascal. Had to buy my mom's gifts online but other than that I found almost everything I was looking for. Now I just have to wait and wrap them up tomorrow..*gulp* Christmas eve..oh well, better late than never.
Yesterday was good, went over to Ashly's and watched Elf that I borrowed from the hotel. Very cute! Think it's my new favorite Christmas movie. Than, got drunk off of some rum and coke..hey, it wouldn't be Christmas unless I got drunk. Went back to Pascals' where there were a bunch of people in the living room..drinking..so guess what we did. So got to bed probably around 4am haha.. but I did not have a bad hangover..score!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I have to work at 6:30am than have to figure out what to do the rest of the evening. Than I work Christmas day 2:30 till 11..yuck! Oh well have to look on the bright side of things, at least I get to sleep in..yay!!!! Mom's bday is tomorrow too but I've already got that covered..she will be surprised :D
Well that's it for now..must head to bed for my early shift..yay?

Short one
Sorry this will be a short one today..have to run off to work in a few mintues.
The day yesterday was good. Had a great night last night. Watched Rush hour over at Pascal's, had some chips and dip..very good. Then hit the hay.
Had a good morning but missed lunch..oops! Oh well you know what that means..have to grab some chips on the way to work...hmmm the healthy choice.
Gonna attempt to go into Banff again tomorrow afternoon..Need to get in there otherwise I won't be able to make it before Christmas..Dang!
Will write more tomorrow..maybe :)

PO'd
So last night I started reading my book, Water for Elephants. So far so good. I like the way this author is so descriptive of every detail. Makes it feel like you are really there.
Went over to Pascal's afterwards and we watched Pulp Fiction. I thought it was....interesting. It wasn't bad but I think it went over my head. Might have to watch it again to get all the meanings. Then again, it is a Quinton Terintino movie :)
I'm a little ticked off at my supervisor. She's a nice girl but she has the patience of a lima bean. She blows up over the smallest things not getting done. She expects perfection all the time (which is impossible) and when it doesn't happen she gets stressed. I've basically told her to calm down a few times which yes, I feel that is something I shouldn't say to a supervisor but I feel it is necessary so she doens't have a corenary. She is very organized, which is great. However she lacks some people handling skills that are necessary for her position. I mad today about something she was mad at me about but has no right to since she doesn't have all the facts. Basically I was asked to tell one of the Front Desk girls that the cross country skiing trip that one of the girls planned had been cancelled for today. I knocked on her door but there was no answer so I slid a note under her door explaining what had happened. Apparently she didn't get it and went to one of the other girls and asked if they were ready for the trip. This other girl told her and that was that. Although my supervisor found out and got mad at one of the other girls who worked with me that we didn't tell this girl the trip was cancelled. Melodie told me at lunch today and I told her about the note so she will tell my supervisor. But really, this makes me mad...
A) It's not in our job to tell this girl the trip was cancelled..that's up to the organizer and..
B) DON'T FLIP OUT TILL YOU HAVE THE FULL STORY!!!!!
So mad right now I can't even type any more...

Where am I? The Bronx?
Well last night was interesting. So I helped my former roommates moved last night. Our friends Ashly, Everette and Adam also helped. So there was about six of us carrying bags and bags down the road to their new house. I was beginning to wonder if people thought we were all moving out. We looked like the cast of FRIENDS walking down this long snowy road..only not as glamourous. With our runny noses and large bags we looked more like a band of roaming gypsies.
So finally got back to my house afterwards after my legs were frozen solid. After I unthawed I went over to Ashly's to see what they were up to. Almost everyone was sitting around either stoned or getting stoned while watching The Doors..seems fitting. Ashly and I made icing for our Christmas cookies that we made the other day. Turned out pretty good.
Went over to the Housekepping house for Jess' Bday party. I only stayed for an hour (Good Alice) Find it's hard to stay at a party where you see everyone slowly slipping into their drunk alter egos and you are stone cold sober cause you have to work for 6:30am the next day. It was alright though. I did get to borrow one of the girl's books that i've been wanting to read for awhile Water for Elephants. Really look forward to reading it. So I left the party early which turned out to be a blessing cause I found out the next morning that a fight had broken out caused by a girl who doesn't even work at our hotel. She was starting a fight with pretty much everyone and of course she picked a fight with one of the more fiestier girls at work and a fight ensued. Even the police showed up and took statements from most of the witnesses there. This girl was even causing havoc at my friend's Ashly's place earlier on in the night, so I'm glad the police ended up taking her away to Banff (I assume to the drunk tank or zoo). All in all a really interesting night.
Going to relax today. Gonna read my book, and watch Elf. Can't believe I haven't seen it yet.

1st post
Well, let's give this a whirl shall we. Since all my friends are doing this I thought I would jump on the band wagon as well. I'm not one for keeping these things up but we'll see how it goes.
So let's see hmmm...It's a week before Christmas and all through house, not a creature was stirring, except for my former British roommates Carole and Stu. They were living with me here in Lake Louise but now they are moving out since they are no longer working at the Post Hotel. I am happy for them that they are moving on to bigger and better things but over the past month I've gotten to know them and am really going to miss them. Fortunatley they are not moving very far. Just down the road so hopefully I will still get to see them every once in awhile.
Actually me and some of our friends are going to help them move here in a little bit. Should be fun...nothing like helping people move in minus 25 degree weather. Oh well, what are friends for :)
