Who knew Facebook could bring therapy!

So lets catch up on the last couple days..but in point form.....

Thursday
* Worked 6:30 till 3pm, work was ok
* Met Pascal after work cause he was off, he got to go the hill, lucky duck!
* We went on a beautiful winter walk through the camp ground and took beautiful pictures like this one here. Pas is a good guide, plus I got to stare at his bum as he walked ahead of me :)
* Pascal and I went for dinner at Fanny and Bernd's, really good (Note to self: German cook's take offence when you don't finish all your dinner)
* Went back and watched part of Princess Mononokie with Pascal (good movie!)

Friday
* Worked again 6:30 till 3pm, work again was ok
* Came home and went skating with Ashly for a bit (ice sucked though)
* Hung out with Ashly at home, later joined by Ryan
* Ryan and I went to dance night (which also sucked) but met up with Katie. Stayed for almost an hour than left, went to B & G, stayed for 5 mins than went home.
* I chilled with Pascal and others as we celebrated Dylan's last night here in LL(he'll be back but we'll be gone)
* Pascal and I watched the rest of Princess Mononokie

What I failed to mention was that I got a charming email from Paula yesterday. I wrote her saying that she didn't need to worry about paying her share of the power bill since she never even bothered to write back and address the issue. I said that I was a little disapointed since it wasn't my bill to pay. She wrote back " This whole thing has been a disappointment and still is and I didn't realize how much I'd miss Parkland so when I heard the power bill wasn't paid I got a surprise and then I thought I'm not dealing with this. And another thing, your mom said everything will be ok, but it 's not. This move was way harder on me than I thought.I don't need any nasty words so don't bother responding because I'm putting this out of my mind. Maybe you'll remember this if you ever have roomates again! "
At this point I am Pissed Off! I decided not to bite my tounge anymore and this is what I wrote back! ....

Well guess what I am responding cause I am mad! Paula you are a nice person and I enjoyed living with you most of the time but i'm sorry, I carried you when we lived together, I'm sorry to say. Yeah we shared on the cleaning but I organized the bill payments, I found ALL THE ROOMMATES, I put up with most of the stress living there! I got us both out of financial trouble by finding roommates.!I'm sorry Paula, your just angry cause there was no one there to carry you! I feel bad saying it but maybe if I say it than at least you will know what it was like for me. You are acting like a child and not at all like the smart 31 year old I know you are! You hate change and pissed off cause my moving out forced you to change your life! You never had to move out but you got too confused and too scared cause you couldn't organize it on your own. You bad mouth me to my friends and guess what they tell me cause they are MY FRIENDS AND YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!!! I made you sign a receipt cause that is what you are supppose to do when you give money to someone! I don't care if you read all this or not but I'm telling you how I feel cause I think you need to GROW UP! I'm sorry Paula, I didn't mean for this to effect our friendship cause I do think you are a really nice person and wish you all the best!

I was so mad at the time but it felt really good to say how I felt! I had been bottling it up for awhile but I needed to say it and, if she reads it, she needs to hear it.

So today I am going to work for 2:30pm and than after that, it's my weekend!!! Yay!!! Going to Calgary tomorrow to shop and go see the Calgary vs Tampa bay game with Pas and some other people from work. Should be fun! Well I should run and have a shower :)

A.I.

What a sad and beautiful movie. We watched it last night and even though I was extremely tired and had a hard time keeping my eyes open, I watched it all. The movie really defines how far someone will go for the one they love. Beautiful! Ending was a little different but satisfying.

Yay! I didn't die on the ski hill!

That's right, no broken bones, no scars, no impaling anyone with my skis..wooo whoooo! I must admit I was a little nervous when Ashly came knocking on our door Monday morning asking us if we were gonna go to the hill. I said it was Pascal's call, and he decided that we should go. So I scrambled to get gear together from some of our neighbours (ie//goggles, gloves, helmet, etc...) So we were able to be out the door and ready by the time the next bus came around.

Pascal was doing really well to try to calm my nerves.

We than get to the hill, I go and rent my skis (free coupon for a high performance ski package rental..sweet!) and than proceed to the bunny hill.

We get on the t-bar which is foreign to Pascal again since he hasn't used it in ages..but like a trooper he stuck with me the few times we went on there.

Afterwards we met Everett, Ashly and Lance and we all went down Pinecomb together. It was such a cool feeling! I wasn't as scared the last time I went down and some of my technique is improving.

The day went really well and after a couple of times on Pinecomb, Ashly asked if I wanted to go down Wiwaxy (The run I froze on the last time I was there) I said yes. I was doing really well untill I had a big wipe out that scared me a little just cause of the way I fell (mind you I had already fallen a couple of times that day) Pascal was right there making sure I was alright and was with me till I got up. I eventually made it down the hill but I was anxious to leave. I really hope I'm not back to square one again! It frustrates me how little kids and the elderly can pick this up faster than me. Everyone said I did really good but i'm a tougher critic!

We went back home, I talked on the phone with my family (even Pascal got to talk to my mom for a little bit...so cute! :D) Than we went back over to Ev's and Ash's for some homemade dinner via Pascal. Such a good cook! He make a Swiss dish called Grah Tah (i think that's how you spell it) and it was delicious! Pasta with vegies, ham and bacon hmmmm :) After that we watched Eagleeye and than came home for a much needed rest since I worked at 6:30 this morning.

All in all a good day and I was very proud of myself for getting back on the figuritive horse and trying it again. Thanks to all for the support! Specially you Pas!

To end this post, a beautiful winter setting pic in Lake Louise :)

Hockey anyone?

Last night was the "tight and bright" party over at Amy's. I can't believe how drunk I got again. Will I ever learn. It was fun but wow I'm surprised I didn't write the whole day off today. When I woke up I did not feel that spectacular but that soon wore off. I had to go get some eats afterwards so I headed over to Ev's and Ash's place to see what was up. I found a very hung over but happy Ashly, Everett and Mike. Mike, Ev and I decided to go for a wrap at Trailhead and then go check out the skating wrink to see what the conditions were like. To my pleasant surprise they were actually really good. So we rounded up the rest of the troups (Pascal, Ryan and eventually Ashly) and went skating. It was so much fun! We must have been out there for at least 2 and a half hours. I even played a little hockey and you know what...I didn't suck! Pascal came over to me for a big hug and it was soo romantic, looking into each others eyes...until we both fell haha, too funny :)
We then went to the hostel after that for some food and then back to our place. I tried to watch Madagascar 2 with Ev and Ash but I kept falling asleep so instead I joined Pas for a little nap (awe).
Now were awake and gonna go over and watch The F word with Gordon Ramsey over at #9. What will happen tomorrow? Stay tunned to find out on...."Life in Lake Louise"

Yay a Visit from Jennifer!

Jennifer and her man, Chris stopped by last night around 7 for a little visit. It was so good to see her! Made me miss home a wee bit. We went for dinner in the Outpost with my roommate Ryan. That little stinker Jennfier paid for everything! She said it was my birthday gift. Than of course they couldn't stay long enough for me to pay for any drinks for her which I could give her for a belated bday gift. Oh well, I'll get you next time my pretty..heee muhha hhaaaa haaa MUHA HAHHAAHAA! (*cough*) What was nice about her visit too is that she got to meet Pascal (That's right girls, sorry she's the first to meet him) He came out from the kitchen to say hello. It was so cute, Jennifer was like "oh everyone is excited to meet you back home, Alice talks so much about you!" That won't scare him much haha! It's too bad they couldn't stay longer to get to know him better and just to hangout, but I understand that they needed to get back to the hotel. The rest of the night was just spent hanging out at the bar waiting for Pascal with Ryan, Patricia, Jeff, and a few other staff.

Tonight is the 'Tight and Bright' party at Amy's. Well i don't have much bright or tight clothes so I'll make do with what I have.

Well I should skiddatle off to work :( Yay! Today's my Friday! At least that's something!

I FOUND MY CAMERA! CAN YOU TELL I'M HAPPY!

YAY!!!CAMERA!!!! let us never fight again! I went over to number 8 last night for..guess what..another party..and I found my Camera buried deep in one of the couch cushions. It's so weird how we never saw it there before. Oh well, I am super excited! Plus now I get to put my pics up on facebook! Muaa haa haa haa

So of course I seem to get all my family news on facebook lately and I find out that my cousin had her baby yesterday! Congradulations Kaitlyn on the safe arrival of baby Colin. As far as I can see mother and son are doing just fine. You can definatley tell he's a Cameron! Look forward to seeing him and everyone when I get back to NS.

So I came home after work last night and I found this little guy sitting on my kitchen counter. A turnip candle holder! Pascal had made it for me! Isn't that cool! He showed it to me when I breifly stopped by the kitchen yesterday but I didn't know it was for me. Sometimes I can be pretty clueless :)

Well have to rev up to work at 2:30. It was so horribly slow last night. Tonight shouldn't be too bad we actually have about 18 arrivals, which doesn't sound like much but it's actually pretty good. So long as they don't all arrive before we get in.

Oh, note to self: Have to fill in the work visa forms and housing forms for Pascal. Still waiting on my contract from Fox Harbour which should arrive in the mail today or tomorrow. Have to call or write Megan too cause I need to know if she sent off my T4 slip.

That's it for now :)

Bored at work :(

Guess where I'm at!!! Booo! Work! Oh well at least I get to go home probably in the next 30 minutes. Depending on how early William is.

Last night was alot of fun! Pascal made Ashly, Everett, Ryan and I cheese fondu. It wasn't too bad but I don't know if i'm a fan of that liquid cheese. He melted some kind of Swiss cheese (i'm pretty sure) and then added some white wine to it. Then he cut up bread into tiny pieces to place on scewers. It was simple but nice. Than we just listened to music and eventually went back to Everett and Ashly's to hang out. Stu and Carole were there. I guess Stu broke his shoulder while doing some fancy snowboarding moves. Makes me want to get out on the hill even faster :S
Lots of people seem to be hurting themselves lately while on the hill. Fena, the new hostess, possibly broke her wrist today while up there. Definatley trying to keep my distance of the hill, in a way, even though I paid for the bloody pass and I should use it.

Last night Pascal and I had a break through of sorts. Can't really talk about it on here (and no girls it's not what you're thinking but if you want to know you can ask me) But for me it was a big step!

I lost my camera at Shelly's and it still hasn't turned up yet. Looked everywhere for that damn thing! I really want it back. It makes me a little sick to think that someone at the party might have taken it. I mean, it was all staff that we work with that was there, that's it! But how well do you know some people. I know there's a couple of people I suspect but I feel bad for thinking that way. Don't really have a choice in a way. I'm probably never going to get it back and just have to accept it. Just makes me mad and a little sad.

Well suppose I should finish up the last of my work before I shove off. Later!

The Weekend Run Down

Well Valentine's Day wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We had a pretty much smooth shift at the desk. Even though we had 60 sum odd checkins we still had it under control which is really good. I came home and Pascal had left a chocolate covered heart in my fridge. Very nice :) A sweet from a sweetie..awe! I gave him his card which he really liked and we even had some champagne too. Well enough about that pointless holiday....

Sunday Pascal, Simon, Melanie and I went to Canmore to visit Laurent at his condo. Wow! Does he ever have a nice condo! And alot of fishes..like 3 huge fish tanks full of fish! Than after that we drove to Banff to go watch a movie. I had no idea what we were going to see as we were waiting in line. I guess everyone else did. Laurent really wanted to see He's just not that into you. So that's what we watched much to somes dismay. I have to say thought that the movie wasn't that bad. It was the better thing to see than some of our other choices (ie// Pink Panther 2, Friday the 13th) Even Pascal, who didn't really care to see it, laughed at some of the funny parts. I liked what some of the movie had pointed out about relationships. All in all it wasn't bad.

Than we went to a place called Caribous and I ordered a roasted chicken pizza which was very good but very filling. Luckily Laurent was there to gladly finish off the pizza which I was kind of hoping to take home with me but didn't want to seem rude. Oh well! He seemed like he had a good time. It was nice we could hang out with him since he's been so depressed since his girlfriend left him.

We headed back to LL (minus Laurent) and went to Rhiannon's going away party. It started out quite tame but than as the night went on so did everyone else. Boy, did I get drunk, but I had a lot of fun. Everyone else too was pretty drunk too. I was trying to look after Ashly but instead i think she had to kind of look after me too. Pascal wasn't drunk so come the end of the night he was ready to take me home (mainly cause I was proped up against a wall with my face buried in it) So we went back to his place, he changed me into his spare pj's and fell right to sleep. Waking up was fun! Not!!!! But feeling much better now.

When i came back to my place I found out that Dave (the local Drunk guy) stopped by our place to crash on our couch cause he was too drunk to walk home. Unfortunately during the night he had got sick all over Illenia's bathroom and she came down stairs to find that mess and Dave sleeping naked on our couch (which would be a very scary sight!) So for the time being we have banned him from our house to teach him a lesson. Sounds mean but we need to do it. He's just too much to handle sometimes. He's a nice guy but just gets too wasted all the time.

Today Pascal wants to make a cheese fondu for me and our friends. Hmmm cheese!!!! Can't wait. Don't think we'll go to the Casino today but we can always go another time.

That's it for now :)

Counting down the days!

Yep that pretty much says it all. I am so sick of the way people handle stress at the Post Hotel. I'm also sick of my supervisor being so condensending with me and the rest of the FD staff. Yes, I might have missed one or two things today but that's cause I was dealing with 20 THINGS AT ONCE! I sort of losted my temper a little bit today with it..which is about time. But I really try to not let it get to me. My supervisor and the other person covering the evening shift had came in to take over the shift since we were done and we were giving them our pass alongs. One story I had they were just like "well just give it to reservations!" I was like trying to explain why but they weren't really listening so i said in a very frustrated voice "Alright, I'll do it! My God I'll go talk to Sarah even though she's really busy!" And then of course I go to talk to Sarah and she was too busy but she did it anyway but wasn't happy. So that made three people pissy today (Including Melody my morning Partner) We worked hard today but of course no "good job guys!" Can't wait to leave this place!

Oh well, came home, did a laundry, talked to my mom, had a three hour nap (cause I only had 4 hours sleep last night cause of Shelly's party, It was fun!) Had something to eat, and now just hanging with my roomy.

Not looking forward to tomorrow cause it will be crazy busy at the hotel and that means more unbearable stressful people. How many more days is it until I leave?!!!

I love Arts n Crafts (lately)

Well another work day done. I hate these shifts where I work 2:30pm till 11pm and than the next day 6:30 till 3pm..they can be very tiring even if you don't have a lot to do that morning.

Jonathan's mother called me today to see if I could arrange to have a cake ordered for him for his bday and she would pay for it. She is such a sweet lady. I said no problem and put an order in with the kitchen. I also made a homemade bday card for him and am currently getting the staff to sign it (I know, I'm really into arts n crafts lately)

I met Pascal and his friend last night at the Out Post for a bit which was nice and than we walked home. Later on Pascal came over and was sort of freaking out about Valentine's Day (it was so funny and cute) He told me that he saw one of the other cooks making something for his girlfriend for Vday and that he felt bad cause now he was going to have to make something. I explained to him that he didn't have to get me anything, but he's catching on to how us women think. We say we don't want anything but a little part of us likes getting a little something. I told him he doesn't need to worry. He buys me things all the time and I ask him not to but he does it anyway, so there should be no exception for Vday (It's such a stupid day)

Tonight is Shelly's party. Can only go for a little bit since I work at 6:30. I'm gonna miss her. She's such a sweet girl!

Ellen finally has her wedding date, Aug 26th whoo hooo! Now the real planning can begin. I still need to call those hotels and see what they can give us for rates. Should also contact Joanna about photos and what she charges.

Well I think I might take a quick nap :)

Pizza for Breakfast?

So Pascal came over last night and he bought me a mini pizza from the outpost. Ok, I'm sorry but I have to say this again that he is just so sweet! I didn't eat it last night but I am having it now for my...breakfast? I guess? Not the healthy choice but at least it is something I can eat before I head out to work soon.

We got Pascal's contract for Fox Harbour in the mail yesterday. Very official. In it is his offer of employment letter, a summary of his position, housing form and just some other odds and ends. We're gonna go over all of it tomorrow when we're both free and also fill out his work permit renewal form that we'll send in soon. It's exciting cause now we're putting plans in motion :)

Work was sooo slow yesterday. Five checkins but that certainley wasn't enough to keep us busy. Well I'll know I'll be busy this weekend. The hotel is hosting..of course..a Valentine's day wedding so we're expecting quite a few people for that. Actually this week sounds like it's also going to be busy for social events too. Thursday is Shelly's going away party, Friday night is Dance night and Saturday night the Phillipinos are having a Valentine's Day Party at their place so we might go and check that out.

No big plans for Valentine's day (I'm not that big of fan anyway of the so called holiday) but I think we might have a bottle of wine or champaign. I am making a card for him. This is what I have so far. (See bottom of page). Oh, the words that are in ALL CAPS are replaced with actual pictures for those words. It's just they didn't copy over when I pasted it on here. Also I have found this cute cartoon of a cook that I think looks pretty similar to him (hehe) which I am going to put on the cover. Ok I know, I just said Valentine's day sucks but arts n' crafts are pretty cool :)

When I first met you, you took the last of my MONEY at my first POKER GAME The second time we met I had had a little too much WINE to drink and was a little DRUNK We had all stayed up talking till 5AM in the morning.
After awhile you and I became really good
FRIENDS and hung out quite a bit. We watched MOVIES at closure. Played with your SLINGSHOT which made the wall look like SWISSCHEESE We even threw some SNOWBALLS at people in their houses. You drew a PICTURE for me and you even brought me back a me TALKING WHALE PUPPET
from Vancouver. You’ve teached me some words IN GERMAN, you have COOKED for me and also looked after me when I was SICK AS A DOG You have done so many good things for me but the best thing you did for me was me was KISSED ME at the staff CHRISTMAS party. It gave me BUTTERFLIES in my stomach and made me very HAPPY and it still does. Pascal, you are kind, smart, funny, a great cook, attractive and all around great guy! I’m very to have you in my WORLD I just want to say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY SWIZZLE STICK!
Even though it’s a holiday I’d like to really
KICK IN THE PANTS

It's my monday...erg!!

Well the title pretty much says it all. I hate my Monday's. A) There will be nothing to do today so of course it will be slow and B) Even though she's a lot better now I have to work with my supervisor today and she can be a little bit...boring :( Oh well....

Pascal just brought me a barito cause he knew I was hungry. He is soo sweet :) Guess I'll be gassy for the rest of the day.

Went over to Everett and Ashly's last night with Pascal and his friend Marko. Carol, Stu and Adrian were there and they were watching the Pineapple Express with Seth Rogan and James Franko. I didn't know James Franko was such a versitile actor. Can we say Johnny Depp Beginner. Was dark but funny movie. Came home for a bit after that and guessed what I watched on Youtube...first, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (first episode) and than watched Gargoyles (the gathering episode) Soooo cool! Pascal came over after that and than we went to the HSKP house and had a little gathering of our own there. It was pretty much relaxed and nice until Johannes (the new german bartender) was starting debates with everyone. First he talked about the European Union and something to do with Turkey (wasn't paying attention really) than started saying "I love how Canadians never say they are from Canada. They always say I'm from England, Scotland, Ireland, etc" I felt like saying "hey buddy, I'm proud to be f*cking Canadian eh! But Canadians are also proud of their heritage, where are ancestors came from!" But I kept my mouth shut. Than he dragged Pascal into a debat about the Swiss vs the Germans. Pascal hates when people talk about hating each other and spoke with him (in german) about his point of views. He told me afterwards how it went. He is very diplomatic, which is something I really admire about him.

After that we went home and watched more Gargoyles (The Hunter episodes) I missed that show!

So it's almost time for work. Heard back from the GM at Fox Harbour today. He will be in contact with us before the weekend he says. We really need him to send in the LMO application in. We still have some time but the sooner the better I say.

Well off to go have my baritto hmmm :)

Lazy Day

What a lazy day today! Pascal and I didn't wake up till 12pm (we were up till 4:30am) and didn't get out of bed till 2pm haha. It was really nice though :) We stayed up and played poker last night. I lost :( but Pascal did pretty good. He managed to stay in as one of the last players. He only got $15 but that's ok, we play for fun not for money.

Pascal's friend Marko is down from Switzerland so we're trying to think of things to do with him while he's down. Him and Pascal have gone on walks and has showed him around LL.We're going to go to the Hostel tonight for dinner..which isn't until 6pm and I'M STARVING (whimper whimper) Oh well :(

We got another job offer from White Point Beach on Friday however they don't have staff accomadations (something we're looking for) and they would be offering Pascal a supervisor position but not the position of Chef de Partie as what he is looking for and has with Fox Harbour. So I called the HR manager today and let her know that we were looking at other optitions. She said if we changed our minds to just let her know. Nice to have optitions.

Talked to Ellen and the girls yesterday morning about wedding plans yay!!! It's finally nice Ellen is really getting the ball rolling. It seems like we all have little projects now to work on which is good. I'm looking after hotel bookings and transportation bookings as well as maybe finding a photographer who I think I know and make up artist. Can't wait for the next meeting. Should be a lot of fun :)

Well time to go starve until supper.

Part One completed

Well I had my interview with the general manager from Fox Harbour yesterday and it went very well. He offered us both a position there but wanted us to think about it before we accepted the offer. After discussing it, weighing the PROS and CONS we decided to ...drum roll please...accept the position. So YEAH!!! Part one of this process, getting the job offer, is completed. Now it is up to Mr. Lee, the general manager to apply for a LMO (Labour Market Opinion) for Pascal and after that get approves than we send in this appliciation for a new work permit. I actually called Immigration Canada today and got a very helpful woman who explained to me the work permit process. We were afraid that it was going to take an additional 2 months to wait and see if it gets approved but she told us that's only if you are going to be working at the same place, which he is not. So in his case it is only going to take 20 days to process which is great! Now we have to play the waiting game for a bit but I don't think it is going to be too bad hopefully :)

Feeling soo tired today. Had enough sleep but still feeling very sluggish. Having a hard time keeping my eyes open which sucks cause I have to go to work in about half an hour.

Pascal left with Joel today for Calgary in the "death mobile" (Joel's BMW has a horrible clutch) They've gone to play some pool and than Pascal is going to pick his friend up Marko at the airport. He's flying all the way from Switzerland. Pascal is really excited to see him. He is his best friend. He is going to be staying for 2 maybe 3 weeks. He is going to be really bored here. He doesn't ski, snowboard, skate, do any winter activities...just smokes dope. Well at least he'll fit in with some of the people. I'm a little worried though cause Pascal has to drive back with Joel's car and it's faulty clutch as well as Pascal isn't that all familiar with Calgary sooooo this means that Alice will be nervous all day today...great.

Really want to go dogsledding. Some of our friends went and they had a really good time. We talked about it and I said to Pascal, instead of doing something for Valentine's day (which is a stupid holiday to begin with) why don't we just put our money towards the dog sledding and do it the week after. I think we are going to do it. I hope so, it looks like so much fun.

Well time to get ready for work (sigh)

Time to catch up on this thing

So I had a very enjoyable day today. Didn't start out the greatest but it was still good. Woke up this morning anticipating a phone call from the HR manager at Fox Harbour but that never happened. Which was unfortunate cause we waited around all morning and part of the afternoon and nothing. Oh well, we thought why stew about it when we can still enjoy our day. So Pascal and I headed for the ice rink at the rec center. Pascal had never been ice skating before so I thought it would be fun to try to teach him (even though I am certainly not a pro) but of course, as I suspected he is very good at it since he inline skates. Pascal is very humble and doesn't believe he can do some things well when really he is quite good at them. But we found the ice at the rink way too bumpy so we decided to head up to the Chateaux. We were very lucky cause we ran into Jeff just coming off work and asked him for a ride up in the "white dragon" tee hee. So he ran us up and we skated for a bit. It was really nice and we got some great pictures. This one is my favourite as you can tell :) The others are on Facebook.

Than we went in for some hot chocolate and got a ride back down to the village via the shuttle.

We later went to the village market and picked up some food to make for dinner tonight (I'm so glad he cooks otherwise I would die! haha)

So we brought it back, cooked it up, invited Ashly and Everette over and had a really nice meal. He made Chicken with curry sause on rice hmmmmmmmm very good! Than after that we just hung out and watched YouTube videos and I introduced them to ..dum da da daaaa...PICNIC FACE haha. They enjoyed it I think. My roommate Ryan came down and we watched them and some other funny videos.

That pretty much sums up the day. Just got an email from the HR manager from Fox Harbour and it looks like he will be calling tomorrow hopefully. I'll keep you posted.
