Part One completed

Well I had my interview with the general manager from Fox Harbour yesterday and it went very well. He offered us both a position there but wanted us to think about it before we accepted the offer. After discussing it, weighing the PROS and CONS we decided to ...drum roll please...accept the position. So YEAH!!! Part one of this process, getting the job offer, is completed. Now it is up to Mr. Lee, the general manager to apply for a LMO (Labour Market Opinion) for Pascal and after that get approves than we send in this appliciation for a new work permit. I actually called Immigration Canada today and got a very helpful woman who explained to me the work permit process. We were afraid that it was going to take an additional 2 months to wait and see if it gets approved but she told us that's only if you are going to be working at the same place, which he is not. So in his case it is only going to take 20 days to process which is great! Now we have to play the waiting game for a bit but I don't think it is going to be too bad hopefully :)

Feeling soo tired today. Had enough sleep but still feeling very sluggish. Having a hard time keeping my eyes open which sucks cause I have to go to work in about half an hour.

Pascal left with Joel today for Calgary in the "death mobile" (Joel's BMW has a horrible clutch) They've gone to play some pool and than Pascal is going to pick his friend up Marko at the airport. He's flying all the way from Switzerland. Pascal is really excited to see him. He is his best friend. He is going to be staying for 2 maybe 3 weeks. He is going to be really bored here. He doesn't ski, snowboard, skate, do any winter activities...just smokes dope. Well at least he'll fit in with some of the people. I'm a little worried though cause Pascal has to drive back with Joel's car and it's faulty clutch as well as Pascal isn't that all familiar with Calgary sooooo this means that Alice will be nervous all day today...great.

Really want to go dogsledding. Some of our friends went and they had a really good time. We talked about it and I said to Pascal, instead of doing something for Valentine's day (which is a stupid holiday to begin with) why don't we just put our money towards the dog sledding and do it the week after. I think we are going to do it. I hope so, it looks like so much fun.

Well time to get ready for work (sigh)
