Pascal's first visit to New Brunswick
We were having such a hard time deciding where to go on our day off together yesterday so Pascal thought it would be a good idea to go to New Brunswick and it was!
We went to the Moncton zoo and got some great pictures, then we did a little shopping, Pascal had his first donair (he seemed to like it) and then we went and saw Transformers 2..which I think I liked the first one better, but this one was still good too..just really hard to focus on the screen when things are moving so fast!
The drive back was good too with the exception of almost hitting a cat..we didn't though, just wanted to repeat that. All in all a good day, saw some cool animals and hung out with my man :)

A very blah-zay Canada day...hhhey that rhymes
Well I didn't really do anything on Canada except work (which isn't bad pay wise)
Pascal and Colin went to the Pugwash Gathering of the Clans festival...apparently not all it was suppose to be. I got off early hoping to go to the fire works but instead it rained so that was a no go.
But I did get to see the ending of House Bunny (which we missed on Saturday) and Pascal finally found the show he watched as a kid, Due South! It was funny, he described it to me once that when he was younger he use to watch a show about a mountee and his dog in which I replied Due South, but he didn't know if that was it or not. Then we came acrossed the end of an episode, and as Paul Gross came on the screen I said "this is Due South, was this the show you watched as a kid? in which he replied "I don't know, he's not wearing red" I had to laugh, it wasn't until the next Due South episode came on in which the opening credits played that he said "yeah! that's it!" I use to love that show too when I was growing up...small world eh!
Well might head to PEI tomorrow since we both have the day off and don't know what to do. We'll have to see how the weather holds up of course.
Oh yeah, Happy Canada Day everyone!

Blasted Bug Bite...trying saying that three times fast
I woke up this morning feeling fine until I got to work and felt that something was wrong with my arm. Sure enought I roll up my sleeve and there's this huge bug bite, but it's not itchy but rater tender. So after work I go to the Tata hospital and the Doctor says that it's infected and perscribes me some medication...which later costs $80 (cream and antibiotics) Holy Guacomolie!
If I catch the bug who did this I'm gonna bite him and make him pay for my perscription!
On a lighter note, we had a great time at my cousin's wedding! She was so beautiful and everyone just had a fantastic time! Thank you so much Pam and Adam for accomodating us, we really appretiate it! Sorry girls we couldn't visit with you or in Jenn U's case have a longer visit.
But we will be back very very soon :)

Pascal is awesome
I literally had a night from hell last night...This nike event is sooo unorganized it's sickening.
We stayed until 1AM getting everything finalized...WHICH SOULD HAVE BEEN FINALIZED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!...not too mention than having people still checking in, coming to eat in the great room past the time they are opened...which i feel bad about since I got the phone call asking if the coach, that was still coming in with 6 guests could still get food, so I called the kitchen they said yes and I relayed that on to the guest...except I should have asked Craig the dinning room supervisor if that was alright, so he was quite upset however if the dinning room has closed and these VIP guests didn't get any food than it would have looked bad on our part..so I'm not sure if I should feel bad or not.
Than Jenn drives me home and tells me that she had a meeting with Steven Joyce and he proceeded to tell her and Constantin that are whole department is the worst one out of all the resort! Well if that doesn't put the cherry on top of the shit pie last night I don't know what would..So feeling very frustrated and very tired and went off sulking to my room, feeling horrible about myself.
Until Pascal came in and saw me upset and comforted me. I truly love him and I don't care if I have a bad day if I can come home to every night, it would all be good.
I realized today that I am good at my job, I am organized, and everyone makes mistakes and how you own up to them and learn from them makes you a better person.
I am very much looking forward to the weekend. Not only because this horrible event will be over but WE get to go to Halifax and see our friends and celebrate my cousins wedding.....is it Saturday yet?

Is it normal to wait 45 minutes for your appetizers!!!!
Well it was interesting today. Jenn and I were planning to go see Angels and Demons today in Truro. However the movie was playing later than expected so we opted out and decided to go to Big Al's in Tatamagouche...safe idea right? Wrong!!! We get there and the place is already really crowded. Plus there was no where to sit except one table that was dirty but hey, we thought, they would come by and clean up the table...wrong again...we waited at least 10 minutes to be greated and finally get some menus. So once we finally put our order in (which by the way took another 10 minutes)it takes about 30minutes to just get our appetizers! Not to mention we had two ladies come in after us and they got served berfore we did!!!! Such a big nono! When finally got our apps (I was never so happy in my life to see food!) Then we got our main dishes after that. The ladies who were waitressing were very nice on a positive note and you could tell they were run wragged over how busy it was, however when it came time to pay our bill, they did nothing to compensate us! Jenn and I and ordered a second pop thinking they would comped for it due to the fact that we waited forever to get our food but when we got to the counter she was confused as to why we would one of our pops comped. We said we had to wait 45 minutes for our appetizers alone plus we sat at a dirty table! We wouldn't have needed the extra pop if it wouldn't have taken so long! She said that wasn't really their fault as they were sooooo busy and that other peoples orders were delayed as well. What kind of rationalizing is that! She said she would comp it but that it would come out of her pocket. What kind of place are they running where they can't compensate for their faults! So Jenn didn't tip her but I did cause she was nice (I don't know what's wrong with me) but it's guilt money for her plus I told her I wasn't impressed and that I was writing a comment card. Sad thing is I'll probably never go back but the food is really good.
Oh well , have to focus on the positive, had some good food, a nice sunny day to lay out and got to watch Taledega Nights and Anchorman. Now I get to hang out with Pascal :)
I was sorry to miss the girls BBQ but I heard it went off great! Congrats girlies!

Hali was definately what the Doctor ordered
Halifax was so very good for my soul on Monday. I really needed to see the girls and the city and was sooo good. I got to spend equal time with everyone. Jenn and Tina and did a little shoping with me (got their bridesmaid dresses) Jenn U came by too. Hung out at Tina's for a mini bbq. Ellen and I got to hangout pretty much in the morning and had some McD's while discussing wedding things. And I got to hangout with Pammy in the pool. Plus I found my dress for my cousin's wedding in Fairweathers in Dartmouth Crossing. Good Trip as far as I'm concerned. The only thing that was missing was Pascal..which he is not a thing, I know.
Pas finally got two days off and was gung ho to go somewhere but decided not to cause the thought of going somewhere unknown alone with the car and not me didn't really appeal to him. So instead he arranged for Mike to take him out clay shooting. Unfortunately Mike bailed cause he had to do inventory. If Mike would have given Pas sufficient notice that he couldn't do it instead of just calling at 6pm and telling Heidi that he couldn't do it, it might have been alright...NOT! He was so dissapointed. He was really looking forward to it. Especially since he put other plans on hold to go and do it. No one makes my Swizzlestick sad! Mike, sleep with one eye open....alright, maybe not that far but....be prepared for a hello with no smile! That's right! You better shiver bitch!
On a side note I checked in Emily Bastock into the resort today with her husband, boyfriend, whatever. It was alright I was like "Emily right?" HAHAHAHA Isn't it great when you don't have to remember the snobby people in High school!
Well not sure what to do this week. My goal is to at least get one day off with Pascal. That way we can finally do something!!! Let's see how it works out :)

Yay Goldie's coming home!!!
So excited to be getting Goldie back! Pas and I have been going a little stir crazy without her. She'll have been gone for almost a week and before that the mechanic had her for about 3 days. Finally we can go places and get fooooooddddd!!!!
I have to say that I truly hate the reservation system at the front desk. Abacus is my own personal hell. I actually think it has a mind of it's own and eventually will take over the world but if I try to explain that to other people, they'll laugh and tell me to go rest.
Leah's shower is on Saturday, have to get her a nice shower gift. Have to find something pink to wear! It's a sex in the city themed shower. And Tina's BBQ is on Sunday but I cannot go for I work which really sucks! Hopefully now that the car is a bit better Pas and I can go to the city for a night next week. Maybe on Wednesday. That might be the only day we have to go.
Slight problem with Ellen's bridesmaids dresses for Anne and I. The colour we ordered them in is no longer available so she is going to order a dress and I quote "Is gonna be very similar in color to the original Dessy dress you showed me"....um so what color was I ordering before? Sky blue pink? Oh well, so long as they come in on time and they are close to Ellen's original colors.
Debating if I should have a nap or go for a run....nap..run...nap...run...naaaaaaaaaapppppp..ruuuunnn...naaaap..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Goldie's sick..too her to car doctor...Goldie get better?
So after Goldie (aka Golddigger) is still having problems with her transmission after her check up at the mechanics in Wallace..soooo Pas and I did a little day trip to Westville and dropped the car off at my uncle's transimission specialist so here's praying that it will all be fixed! They are such a sweet couple! After being outwest for a while I sure did miss good ole Maritime hospitality!
We spent the day at my cousin Julie's house and had a visit with her, Aunt Jill, Paul, Uncle Roy and little Cori (OMG she hasn't gotten so big and sooo cute)
All of my family (with the exception of Julie) have made the mistake of saying that "so Pascal, you're from Sweden eh!" (eye roll) but I admit myself I have done that too.
Pas is meeting all my family it seems one at a time but maybe tthat's a good thing. Don't want to overwhelm the poor man hahah! After a nice visit my aunt and uncle drove as back to Fox Harb'r but before that we went to Rustler's beach. A beach that my family use to vacation at a long time ago. What a walk down memory lane..or the beach rater that was soo nice plus Pas got to see a nice beach that isn't that far away from us.
After that a quick stop to pick upn some things at the nearest grocery store and then home again.
Gave my uncle and aunt a quick tour of Fox Harb'r which they were very impressed with then they dropped us off back home. All in all a good day.
Just waiting now till Monday to hear back from Barry about the car. Pray good thoughts everyone!
On a side note: I really miss Hali and the valley!!!!Need to see everyone again!!!!!! Will be visiting soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rain Rain Go away and come back in January
Another rainy day bleh! Oh well at least I got to go home early today. Mr. Joyce came in today before he left in his private jet and told some of the managers to send staff home since we didn't have any guest. No sence in wasting money, which makes sence. So I got sent home at 1pm and Pas didn't have to go in today so we went to the pool which can I tell you how much I am in love with it. It is an amazing pool! Pas and I were there for nearly 2 hours, swimming, tosing the ball back and forth, etc...It was so much fun and a good work out too! They also have a mineral pool which we got to swim around in first.
Watched the third installement of Pirates of the Caribbean 3...hard to follow! Are they making a fourth one? A spin off? Cause it sure looks that way.
Watched Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanomo (sp?) Bay last night..it was sooo dumb that's all I'm going to write about it.
Saturday night I couldn't sleep so I stayed up and watched 5 or 6 episodes and stayed up till 6am! That's right! 6 am. Pas woke up to go to work and was surprise to still see me up and watching episodes. I was such a pretty sight let me tell you.
Tomorrow I work at 7am and Pas is off but I was told that we might get off early again tomorrow since we won't have any guests that day. Great for time off...bad for pay cheque. I'll see if I can stay longer.
Well should hit the hay but not too hard.

Seems like we're missing something here...ah! Guests!
Ok a hotel just doesn't work when there's hardly any guests in house. And the same is going to happen next week. It doesn't look like we're going to have too many people until this wedding that's happening the last week in May. I put a request in to have that particular day off on the last Saturday of the month due to my cousins wedding. I hope I can get it.
Put the go ahead on the dress today. Ellen approved! She actually more than approved, she was over the moon about it. She really liked how it looked on me and she loved mom's idea of having Anne and I in matching dressed while Tina and Jenn are in another similar dress. I'm excited for the wedding. I just hope we have no problems with the dresses coming in on time.
Really hope that we can get into Hali soon. Neither of us have the day off together next week but i really want to get back in. I miss the girls!
Well looks like Pas is watching some weird anime show about Pirates which is catching my attention. Maybe I'll try to understand some of it. But it's in German...hmm an Asian produced show, dubbed in German with some Japanese spoken parts with German Subtitles....maybe i'll just surf the internet :)

Yay Dress Shopping!!!
Pas and I went to Amherst today for a little treat...also just to get us out of here for the day.
It was nice! We first went to Rose Sans Bridal Dress store to look for a bridesmaid dress and actually had some pretty good luck! I've posted my favourite and I personally think it would be the best one out of all the others I tried on that would go with the other bridesmaid dresses. It's so pretty! I'm just waiting now on Ellen's approval. I've posted the other ones on Ellen's bridal Facebook page.
Ellen is down with Strep throat! Poor thing! Although she was off today and off for the long weekend which is good for her so she can rest her voice. I hope that it won't make her too sick.
I think we might have a good idea of where to have Ellen's bridal shower. Now I've been racking my brain about this and I've been talking to my mom tonight as well about it. We can probably have it down at the New Beginnings Center in Greenwood. It's big enough and if given enough notice I'm sure people could make it down for then. That way we wouldn't have to inconveince anyone by having it at their place and to have it up at the cottage I found out that they (the actual owners of the cottage) do not like having a lot of people up there. We had a problem with that last year now that I think about it so having a bunch of people come up for a bridal shower i'm sure will be frowned upon. That's not to say that the girls can't come up for a weekend and we have a little intimate one for Ellen. Still needs some planning.
Well I think we might watch a movie if I can tear Pas away from his new video game that he bought today. Boys will be Boys :S

Feeling old!
Really not liking how everyone in our dorm is not above the age of 21! Oh well they are sweet, it's just when it comes to tidying up around here...lets' say it hardly exists!
Got to talk to Pam and Tina today. Always like it when I can chat with the girls! Talked with Ellen today as well. Things are going alright with her but now it looks like some things might not be coming together as she planned. I'm not thrilled with Winchesters after they way they talked to me on the phone. Much rather do my business somewhere else! Ellen is fine with that too which i'm kind of relieved since I was really really not wanting to give them my credit card information.
Goldie is still sick but we might venture in to taking her to a mechanics in Amherst tomorrow and seeing what they can do. Also taking advantage of some dress shopping while I'm there...it couldn't hurt right? ;)
We were going to watch a movie tonight since we both have tomorrow off but since Pas is fast asleep beside me.....really don't see that happening. Oh well, time to surf the net

Time to catch up on this thing again
Trip to Vancouver was really great!
Flight back was horrible!
Seeing all the girls at the airport and home made me sooooo happy!
Seeing my mom and aunt was great!
Didn't get to see Anne and Jeff yet booooo!
Arrived at Fox Harb'r, not so easy since security wasn't around and we had to sneak through the gate and walk through a golf course at night, spooky!
Get in our dorms, find out that we have all new kitchen appliances, nice TV, nice chairs in living room, small but nice room with a new mini fridge, dresser, and night stand with lamp.
People are very nice here but kinda reminds me of Lake Louise where everyone sits around and drinks (but this time they are playing guitars, different!)
Supervisor seems nice and we've hung out a bit since i'm here, but I still don't know about her yet.
All of our housemates are waaaaaaayyyyy younger than we are! Boooooo! They are still nice but we have been cleaning up after them ever since they got here Boooooooo again!!!!
Saw X-men origins on Sunday in Truro with Pas YAYYYYY!!!! So goood!!!!! Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!
Might go into Hali next week but not sure, itchen to see the girls again. We so didn't have enough time to visit on Sunday and that was part from Pas and I being so tired!
Excited for Ellen's wedding preps! Have to get my measurements and give them to he
r along with my credit card number.
Fox Harb'r is really pretty here and I look forward to seeing what it will be like in the summer. Gotta hit up the beaches!
Skype is my new best friend! Love this video chat! Pas and I chatted with Jonathan today for over an hour and caught up on some of the Lake Louise/Post hotel life.
Everett and Ashly will be in Halifax this weekend! Yayyy! Maybe we'll get a visit in from them! I miss them!
Well that's it for now!

Vancouver Rocks!
What a beautiful city! We walked in Stanley Park today and saw the aquarium. That was pretty cool I must say! Plus we were able to catch a dolphin show when we were there so pretty awesome I must say. Ok so I know you want to know what has happened since the last post so I will do it in point form....
* Departure from hotel was good, not too sad but it kind of hit me after we left.
* Final BBQ we had the night before we left was fun early on but way tooo many drunk people misbehaving for my liking.
* A little worried our ride to the airport wasn't going to show but eventually came (I hate those types of scares cause you have no control over them)
* Getting through baggage check and security at the airport was fine and the flight was good, even 20 minutes ahead of schedual but I still got the weird ear ache in my right ear when we are descending.
* Arrived at the hotel via the airporter in the late afternoon. Hotel lobby is small but nice, very friendly staff.
* Went up to our 'deluxe suite' that I booked and I have to say that it's technically not a suite and not as big as I thought it would be. The bedroom is only seperated by a small wall that only goes half way across the room, no door.
* After getting over intitial disappointment, Pas gave me some perspective and realized the room isn't that bad and neither is the view cause it really gives us a large scope of the city.
* Our Toilet overflowed in bathroom last night, back to disappointment but the staff handled it very well.
* Went for a walk around the downtown last night and boy was it warm out! Didn't even need my winter vest. Saw some beautiful sights!
* Had dinner at a cute little mom and pop restaurant called Casablanca's. It was mexican and it was goood!
* Today after Stanley park and Aquarium we ran into Stu and Carole as we were having a drink outside at a local bar and grill so they joined us for a drink and invited us to come out tomorrow night for Carole's birthday. Should be fun!
* Had dinner in the hotel dinning room tonight with Pas. Good food, nice waiter, service was slow. They forgot Pas' beer but was ok.
So far that's it! It's been pretty good so far. I purchased the Vancouver Entertainment Guide and we've been using a few of the coupons already and saving money. Look forward to tomorrow when we go to Chinatown!
Until tomorrow.... :)
Hali in 3 more days woooo hoooo!

Last day of Work! Really? I'm not dreaming!
Boy does this feel good, but kind of sad at the same time. I didn't realize how much it's really gonna suck saying goodbye to everyone. I already said goodbye to my GM, Patricia, Rosalie, and my supervisor, Madlen which was kind of interesting. At times I have really disliked this woman but lately she hadn't been bad at all. So when she said goodbye to me it was "Oh Alice Thank you so much for coming here and staying as long as you did. We're all gonna miss you" and she gave me a hug..than she said "sorry for some of those times that I was grumpy" and I just had to laugh and say "oh that's ok" But it was really nice to have her apologize.
Spent most of the morning cleaning my room. Gonna have to do some major laundry tomorrow and then finish cleaning my bathroom. It's kind of surreal since some of this experience is sinking in and some of it is not. Tomorrow we are having a big BBQ and tonight I think people are getting together for some drinks. I think it will be a nice send off. And Jonathan, God Bless him! Is taking Pas' snowboard to NS with him when he leaves on Monday so we don't have to lug it around with us. I'm really gonna miss him and I feel bad that I didn't hang out with him as much as I should have since he is a friend from back home. Oh well! Wow can't wait to get off work! Counting down...4 hours and 12 minutes left!
So we are pretty sure about it now but we are thinking about getting a car when we get home. Since there is no main transportation out there where we are we thought it would be best. So that's another thing we are going to need to orchestrate. Looking forward to getting home and going on Vacation. Can't wait to see everybody again!!!!

I knew there was a reason we were leaving
Today was my last morning shift at the Post Hotel Yeee hawww!!!! erh I mean....YEEEEE HAWWWW!!!!!! One more working day at the Post and 3 more days in LL and than it's Hello Vancouver and Nova Scotia!
I found out a couple more things today about my work place that I am not too proud of. One of the girls at the front desk was telling me that her friend (who works as a hostess at our restaurant) had a 'discussion' with her supervisor one day and they were debating about a certain topic (can't remember what it was about) Anyway, the girl said something to the supervisor about her point of view on this issue that he didn't agree with so his responce was "Well, The only thing you Germans just believe in is Hitler anyways.." She was shocked and offended, naturally. So she went to the owner of the company and instead of an apology from this supervisor all she got was "why did you go to the owner of the hotel?"
"Obviously" she said "I have a problem with my supervisor, I can't talk to you, so I have to go to the next person" He offered no apology whatsoever. Just that type of personality that always needs to be right. Anyway her and my friend at the front desk today went to speak with the general manager to send in their resignation. If I were them, I would have done the same thing too. As a supervisor or fellow human being, you don't ever make those remarks! I was so shocked to hear that! But I am happy for them that they are leaving too cause they were not happy here.
Another girl at work who is also a hostess told me she was given a letter from HR today saying that "Her services were no longer required and that she had to leave by April 19th" The reason for this letter is because the employer didn't believe that the girl had given enough notice when she booked her vacation in the last week of May (which she requested off way in advance) The end of May happens to be the Wine Summit event. I've never ever heard of an employer only giving an employee 3 days notice to vacat the property and terminate employement! It clearly states that an employee of 3 months to 2 years has to be given at least One Weeks notice or pay to compensate for the lack of notice which who knows if they are going to do. Can I just say that I AM SO GLAD TO BE LEAVING THIS UPSIDE DOWN TREEHOUSE OF A HOTEL!!!!!
Just so unimpressed! But I don't care cause I am outta here in 3 DAYS!!!! WOOOO HOOOO!

Part Three Accomplished! Yay!!!!
So by now everyone pretty much knows that Pascal's visa has been approved which just released about a 1000lb wieght off my cheast! He got the envelope yesterday and when I saw him at work he showed me the good news. I was soooo happy and relieved. Yay!!! It's finally confirmed! Pas is coming to the East Coast! At least for 6 more months. Who knows after that..but that's just all part of the adventure.
Things have been going well as far as things getting here on time, such as the visa, my gst cheques came. Plus the Vancouver Entertainment Book arrived at the Casacadia hotel where we are staying at so now I don't have to worry about not getting the coupons in time. Praise the Lord!
Can't wait! Only 2 more working days left and 4 more actual days in LL.
We had a great night last night. I went after work to see Jon sing at the LL Idol Kareokee contest and to my pleasant surprise I didn't miss his act (which I thought I would since I got off work at 11pm) Also when I got there there were all these people from the Post there as well, cheering him on! It was just a really great night and it was nice to have that just before we left. I think it was really good for Jonathan as well so he could see just how many friends he has at the Post.
Well off to work again. Stupid split, but I don't care. Soon I'll be done and on to the next chapter with Pas :)

Happy Easter!
Just got off the phone with Tina and before that my family who are currently at my aunt Jill's house having an Easter egg hunt. I feel a little home sick and I think I am the furthest away from home out of all my family right now. Oh well, soon I will be home enough. A week from tomorrow we will be leaving Lake Louise and on our way to Vancouver WHOOO HOOOO! So excited! Just bought the Vancouver Entertainment Book for 2009 and boy does it have alot of coupons from the look of it. Two weeks from yesterday we will be home in Nova Scotia. Wow! Time just flew out here!
I came into my house this morning and found someone had left a note on our counter saying "Hello Girls, There are 18 mini eggs over your living room and counter, see if you can find them all, Happy Easter!" I don't know who it could be. Maybe Ryan, our other roommate, or one of our friends. It was really cute though! Haven't looked for Easter eggs in a long time.
Well I wasn't suppose to work today but that changed. Now I'm working at 2:30 today. Oh well, there's one check in today. Looks like it will be another day of surfing the internet and getting paid for it. I guess I should go get ready for work.
Happy Easter Everyone! :)

Good Friday
I got the funniest Easter card from my mother yesterday. It`s a beautiful Christian card and when you open it she writes...`Dear Alice, Hope you have a lovely Easter and you remember that Jesus died for you on this day...and after that buy yourself some chocolate (she sent me a fiver) She continues...`Sorry for amount I sent you, I`m saving for a wedding and we`re in the middle of a RECESSION!!! Here`s to you, my daughter and he seemingly special friend Pascal.` I love my mom! I shared that with the people in my office so they know where i`m coming from.
Yay today is my day off and I`m planning on doing a whole lot of nothing. I should do some cleaning though, and go through my stuff that I`m taking and that I`m leaving, and I need to say goodbye to Mel since I didn`t do that last night. I`m also definatley calling some people today.
As well reflect on this day, Good Friday and remember what Jesus did. Wow, my day off doing nothing just turned into doing something.

Ok, Is it the 20th yet?
I'm really itching to get on with my vacation. There is absolutely nothing to do at work and it's driving me nuts! Been looking online at things to do while we're in Vancouver. Really looking forward to seeing Chinatown, the Aquarium and of course Stanley Park. There's a card you can purchase actually that gets you into free to alot of these places but I don't think Pas wants to buy it so it may just be myself. The key is though not to plan too much so you don't feel rushed and stressed on vacation is what Pas says and I believe that too. I'm just so excited!!!
Ok for those of you counting down we are at 7 more working days left and 11 days left in LL. I heard today from Chloe that they are planning a big BBQ at Pinnacle on the 19th. That will be really nice. A chance to get to see everyone before we all go on our seperate ways and probably never see each other again. I'm really sad to leave everyone whom I've become really good friends with. You work and live together, you can't help but become close. But I am ready to move and explore new parts, meet new people. Fox Harb'r, I have a feeling will be really similar to Lake Louise in the fact that they are both small town resorts for the rich. The plus side is I will be close to home and Pascal will get a real Canadian experience. Lake Louise is almost like little Europe so he never felt like he was getting the full Canadian experience even though he has a Canadian girlfriend :)
Ok back to non work again. This is driving me nuts!

Woo hoo only 9 more working days left and only 14 days in LL! But who's counting :)

Ok long title but at least you know where I'm at. So excited, plus we made the descision where we want to go on our vacation...Vancouver! We were planning on Vegas but with all the hassle with the visa process and everything we're just afraid we would run into some problems once we tried to get back into Canada. So better to be safe than sorry we're just gonna stick with good ole Canada. Plus I found a really good deal on a hotel in downtown Vancouver. We're staying at the Cascadia Hotel and Suites (http://www.cascadiahotelvancouver.com/) Looks like a very nice hotel and we get a free buffet breakfast every morning and high speed internet in the rooms. I booked us in a superior suite with queen bed, full kitchen, guest room and balcony for $119.00 a night on expedia. So excited! Got a good deal on our flight to Vancouver too, $89.00! Looking at flights now going from Vancouver to Hali and looks like they're all getting in pretty late.
I'm so looking forward to coming back. Pascal I think is a little nervous but is also looking forward to coming to Nova Scotia.
Wow! What a cliffhanger last night! Watched the final episode in the first season of Supernatural. It's a good thing Jon has the second season lined up for us.
Cold is almost gone. Pas and I are feeling much better. Pas still has a bit of his cold and mine's on the way out...thankfully!!!
I'm off tomorrow and good Friday. Gotta go through my stuff and find out what I don't want anymore and what I'm taking...oh the joys of moving again.
Well that's it for now :)

**Cough, Cough**
Yes, I still have this blasted cold! Poor Pascal though is worse than I am. He has a scratchy throat, all stuffed up and painful coughing :( I really hope this sickness is over soon for both of us. What is really rough is that we both have to work since both our departments now are short staffed and we feel guilty for calling in sick. The hotel doesn't actually give us sick days which is really frustrating so unless you want it to affect your pay, you better come to work and get everyone else sick. In fact, a good percentage of the staff are already sick with this cold. That's the hotel industry for you. Once one person has it soon everyone will have it.
So Pascal and I are really getting into the Supernatural series. In a way, I find the story line really interesting, but the computer graphics for some of the monsters, demons, spirits, etc...are really bad and so are some of the guest actors. The two main guys are alright. Don't think I'll get to see any episodes tonight for I have to work early in the morning and am currently at work now. Oh well, at least I have the evening off tomorrow.
19 more days left here in good ole Lake Louise. I'm really going to miss everyone and it's going to be really hard to say goodbye. However, I think for our own sanity it will be good to leave. Pascal is looking forward to seeing Nova Scotia but is maybe a little overwhelmed at the thought of having to meet all my friends and family. Not all at once of course but I think just meeting my mom is making him anxious. He'll be fine. He is such a sweetheart! It's funny...I had my mom on speaker phone the other day and Pascal was sitting beside me at the time (I didn't tell her he was there) She was like "Oh I got your pictures you sent me! They are very nice! Pascal looks like he has a good heart!" I think he really liked to hear that. Hopefully that would have calmed his nerves a little :)
Working 6 days in a row this week, but I don't care, It's almost over. Have to talk to the girls maybe tomorrow or Friday since I was too sick to call in the last couple of days. Hopefully we can plan a time for everyone to get together for a visit before Pascal and I head on to Fox Harb'r (Provided the visa goes through)
Well that's it for now!

Didn't I already have a cold this winter?
Woke up feeling like crap this morning. Now this may sound bad, but it was nice waking up with someone who also feels like crap. Pascal is also sick with the same cold I have. I originally got it from him who in turn got it from Dave, since Dave has a lovely habbit of coughing everywhere and not covering his mouth. Thanks Dave...Today I was planning to go up to where the dogsledding company is with Ashly and show her the dogs. I think that plan is out since it hurts to blink so I can imagine what it will feel like to walk! Maybe I'll go later but I doubt it.
The eye appointment in Banff went well I guess. I still have this black floater in my eye which the doctor said was normal since pretty much everyone has one. It's annoying though cause every time I look with my right eye, it automatically follows with a bit of delay. I forgot how much I hate going to get an eye exam. Having to look through that little machine that blows air into your eye. Love that! Not to mention getting the drops put in my eyes to dialate them (which stings quite a bit) All in all i'm glad I went cause if I didn't I would have been worried as to what it was.
I think we picked a vacation destination....Las Vegas! We still are looking at packages and such but out of all the places we thought of Las Vegas seemed like a good choice.
It's now getting closer to when we have to leave. Only 22 more days. We think we might arrive in Nova Scotia (provided the Visa gets approved) on that Friday or Saturday, not sure yet.
Can't wait to see everyone again! Looking forward to a lot of things by getting back to NS for a bit.
Tomorrow we head into Banff to pick up a few things and do our taxes..and maybe go see Watchmen. If I don't pass out from this cold.
Well that's it for now!

Woo hooo!
So for the past couple of weeks I've notice I have this black little floater in my right eye that comes and goes. So, due to the many persuasive people in my office, I have booked an eye appointment to see the optomitrist in Banff tomorrow afternoon..oh goody, I can't tell you how excited I am about this. This just rocks my world, can I just say that. But some good news came today when I got home from work and checked my email. The general manager from Fox Harbour wrote and said that Pascal got his LMO approved! Woo hooo! Part 2 of this stressful process is now done. So now we just have to notify Immigration Canada to start the Visa extension approval process which takes about roughly 20 days. So excited! I'll keep everyone updated as to any new information!
Gonna hang out with Ashly tonight. Have a bit of a girly night! Anyway should have a little nap before a head out to supper.
Later :)

Time is going fast
I can't believe it is almost the end of March. This month has gond by very fast! Just 29 more days and I will be donw my job here at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise, AB. The tiem here has been really good even though my job always hasn't been. Soon i will be back in Nova Scotia working at the Fox Harbour resort in Wallace (Don't ask me where that is cause i still don't know) hopefully with Pascal as well. We are going to send his visa application in on Monday even though we are suppose to wait for LMO to go through. We just don't want to run out of time.
Tomorrow we are having William over for dinner. Pascal wants to make a risotto hmmm! I'm a little sad that William is leaving in a coupel of weeks. I've really enjoyed working with him. He is very layed back and fun loving. I was plannig on taking pascal with me to the pool tomorrow afternoon but i think we may have to help Ev and Ashly move over to Moraine circle. This is so stupid. so after the St. Patty's day party on Tuesday, Everett and Ashly along with their other two roommates. They had a meeting with Chuck and he told them that their roommates could stay since they weren't there at the party but Ev n Ash have to move out. We weren't even that loud at the party according to the police officier who was called to the scene (who now everyone thinks was Alfredo since he was spotted outside on the phone quite a bit and now is also believe to have deflated Monika's car tire too) Such a jerk! Now everyone at the hotel is very cold to Alfredo since all this drama that went down was mainly his fault. The part that is kind of ironic is that Everett and Ashly are going to be his neighbour over in Moraine. Everett said he is going to make his life a living hell! Hopefully the police won't be called for that.
Another 3 days off starts tomorrow which is nice I can't complain but I think it would be nicer to have my vacatoin pay. These days off go towards our vacation pay..and speaking of vacation, Pascal and I haven't decided where to go yet. Down south would be nice and all inclusive, wouldn't have to worry about expenses too much. Las Vegas is also appealing, it's just that with the visa issue, coming back into Canada for Pascal might be a problem since things are not finalized yet. Vancouver is also another idea and could be done in the amount of time we would want to spend there, it's just Pas has been there already (not for very long mind you) and the weather might not be that nice when we get there. Oh well, we'll get it all figured out I'm sure.
Well I should probably get back to work, even though it's really not that busy here tonight. Commencing staring at the wall for another 2 and half hours :D

Happy St. Patty's Day..well i think it was?
I'm going to do this in point form since I don't have a lot of time before I have to head to work.
* Just had 3 days off, awesome! Have to go back to work, not awesome :(
* Sunday was relaxing. Pas and I lazed around, he made me dinner, talked to some family and friends on the phone, than at the end of the night Pas and I watched "Zac and Miri make a porno" (very funny and cute)
* Monday was also relaxing. Pas went to the hill with Everett and I stayed at home and looked up travel destinations. I've been looking at Vancouver, Las Vegas and Cancun..decisions, decisions (all based on money, time and interest of course)
* Went to the pool that day as well over at the Lake Louise Inn. Did some laps and relaxed in the hot tub. So nice!
*Came back hung out with Ashly, Everett and Pascal and attempted to watch a movie but Pas was really tired from snowboarding so we just went home.
* Ended up watching Transporter 3 back at Pas'. (Side note: Jason Stateham is soooo sexy!)
* Tuesday, go up early to go dogsledding! Yay! Pics are on Facebook, but here is one of my favourites. It was really good except the taxi driver was 20 minutes late picking us up and then proceeded to tell me that it was basically my fault for not calling ahead of time. I explained my side very well. I told him the dispatcher said it wasn't a problem to be picked up at 9:10am and that he was late. I hate confrontation so I said very little but made it a point that I wasn't impressed. He did apologize but not very well. Won't be using the taxi again I guess. Oh well, Only here for another month.
* Dog sledding was awesome! Highly recommend people do it if they get the chance. Than after all was said and done we had a nice walk back to the village.
* I spent the rest of the afternoon at home relaxing and then had a nap and went over to Everett and Ashly's St. Patrick's day party. Here's the short story of what happened....
Everett, really drunk. Ashly, trying to get him to calm down, she's also pretty drunk. Lots of people, had a good time talking. Maritime music played, sang along and drank some more. More people drinking and getting drunk including me. Dave is there, trouble! Trys to fight Everett while getting naked (A Dave classic) Dave calms down finally. People still partying and getting drunk. I am now drunk at this point. Jonathan shows up. I nominate him as my conscience. Pas shows up relunctantly since he is sober while everyone else is drunk. Do some dancing. Ashly, Amy and I all go to the bathroom. Police show up. We hide in the bathroom. I peek out the door to see what's go and find Pas talking to the officier. They seem to be smiling and talking nicely. Police leave, Benoit shows up ( Hotel security) Everett trys to talk to Benoit. Benoit is not impressed and leaves telling us all we need to be quite. Come out of the bathroom. Dave wakes up and starts to cause a commosion again. People try to talk to him but he only wants to talk to Pas. Pas convinces him to go home with Nobu and Mike. It works, Dave leaves but almost has another fight with Everett. Meanwhile a girl from works recently ex boyfriend shows up and starts to harass her, she wants him to go so the guys throw him out too. She leaves the party and finds out that he has slashed one of her tires. Nice! She walks home. Alot of people leave and so do I. We all go back over to the Pinnacle parking lot and talk about what had happened. Jonathan takes me home to Pas' place where I crash eventually. Wake up today and feeling fine. Guess that wasn't a short story after all. Crap! gotta go to work.

Thank God it's Friday
Sitting at the reservations desk here, bored again, so I thought I would take the time to write a little something...
I wasn't really hungover at all after Kareokee on Tuesday (yay for that!) I worked at 2:30 that day which was nothing spectacular. After I came home there was a few people standing around outside having some drinks (In honor of Pascal's pre-birthday bash) It was going pretty well until Dave showed up, drunk, again! That boy has a problem! Pascal was really worried that he was going to ruin the evening and maybe crash on their couch in #10. The problem with that is that Dave usually gets naked (very scary thought) and throws up, usually all over the place. When everyone saw him coming they all automatically switched to speaking German so that he couldn't understand them. They told me that they were going to hang out at #12 so that is where people started to head gradually. Pascal was giving Dave the speech about how he was basically selfish by being drunk all the time and how it was hurting his friendships, although I think this was not getting through to him whatsoever. Feeling concerned for Dave cause he didn't want him to walk home by himself in -25 degree weather thinking he might pass out, Pas wanted to help him home. I expressed to Pas that I didn't want him to go cause it was A) very cold, B) it was his party and c) walking Dave alone was not a good idea since he has these mood swings and wasn't sure what he was going to do. So I said that I was going to go with him which of course he said no cause it was cold. The end decision was that Dave said he was going home alone and he didn't need help from anyone. In the end it all worked out, Pas got to have his relaxed gathering that night with his friends, no one had to freeze and Dave got home alright. That was Wednesday night.
Pas birthday wasn't as eventful as I thought it was going to be, but he said that was ok since he just wanted to hangout with me. He didn't want to go to dinner so I had to come up with another idea for a birthday gift. I am treating him to a dogsledding trip this Tuesday. Something we can both do together and I know it will be a lot of fun!
Today is my Friday, as well as Pas. I have 3 days off Yippie! Monday we are planning on going to Banff to do Pas' taxes and then go see a movie. I hope the weather is OK. Then Tuesday is the dogsledding and St. Patrick's Day (should be interesting)
That's it for now :)

I sang my little drunk heart out
So last night I went to Shauna's baby shower, which was kind of different since she has already had her baby (which he is sooo adorable!) It was pretty good though! Patricia went all out with the food, very yummy! I stayed for a bit but then I wanted to get going cause I was heading to Kareokee to see to Jonathan sing. So I headed over to explorer's and found Pascal and Martin waiting, which was a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect to see them there. Jonathan and Ryan showed up and then Jess, Jeanine and Nick showed up. What a fun night! Jonathan belted out some great tunes, ie..Elton John, Inrique Eglasias, R.E.M. And yes, even I got up and sang. It was easy with Pascal feeding rum and cokes all night :) I sang Sheryl Crow's "A Change would do you Good" I really had wanted to do it but needed some liquid courage. Even Nick came up and danced with me while I sang. Pascal gave me a thumbs up during my song which was really encouraging. He said I did very well and didn't know I could sing like that (even though I didn't think it was anything special) Made me feel really nice :)
As the night went on so did my drinks and my slurring hehe...the boys got me home alright which was good cause it was fricken cold out last night (at least -30) Can't wait for next week when we get to do it all over again.
Tomorrow is Pas' birthday which he has off :o) For his birthday I am treating him to a dogsledding trip for next week. Something we can both do together! I'm looking forward to it and I think Pas will to, even though he hates it when I spend money on him..hehe oh well.
That's it for now, still at work and bored bored bored :(

Snowshoeing
That's right, we went snowshoeing! It wasn't too bad but it is still quite a workout, holy! Pas and I went with Carter up to a place called Island Lake. It's about and hour and a half in total..not a really long hike but it was good enough. In this picture here we are in front of Morant's curve, which is one of the most photographed sights due to the scenery and the train that runs by. People wait hours for the train to come by so they can get the perfect picture. You can see the curve better in the second picture. We got to see footprints from snowhares, lynx and even a cougar
(we think) Really neat! It wasn't the sunniest day but it was still good to go out there and try something new. We walked across the lake to the island part and then back down. Not a bad little trip. Afterwards we came back and hung out with Ashly and Ev. Did our weekly ritual of Pas and Everett cooking supper for us. This week it was Rushti, another Swiss dish. Yum! Really good! Than played a few drinking games, got drunk, and then taught them how to play rhummy. We then left there and Pas and I went back and watched Loaded Weapon (the spoof from Lethal Weapon) It was pretty funny with Emelio Esteves and Samuel L. Jackson.
Today Pas went to the hill with Everett and I'm just chilling out. Found out that the lady at Fox Harbour (Joann, really nice) sent off Pas' LMO application today, YAY! So now we can send off Pas' visa forms tomorrow! Once it is filled in and sent out, it will just be the waiting game. Prayers, fingers crossed, etc from everyone please :D Thanks!

Taking a stand..well at least a mini one
So last night Pas came over and was kind of down in the dumps. But it's always the same thing that bothers him...work! The kitchen is really bad to work in, they don't get tips, the servers walk away with at least over a $100 every night and it's really not fair to the cooks since they work just as hard if not harder (for sure harder and longer) than the servers. So it was really bumming him out so he thought of something he would like to do...he wanted to make a facebook group. Basically just a place where people can go to rant about some of the things about work ie//lack of tips for some departments (including front desk) no discounts in the pub, working back to back shift (2pm till 11pm and than back in at 6:30am the next day) which technically is against the labour laws here in Alberta. So I helped him do up the group and posted it on Facebook. We invited quite a few former and current employees of the Post and so far we have about 14 people who joined. Some people won't cause they don't want to get in trouble and I understand that cuase I had the same hesitations but please remember people that this is only Facebook! Not a reveloution. It made Pas feel better and I support him. I felt after it was done that maybe we shouldn't have done it but at the same time it's a matter of principal. We've not said anything bad about the Post or its management we just have some matters that we would like to be heard on. Maybe a little voice can be heard once it's joined by other little voices :)

Update
I kind of like this point form thing so lets use that to break down the week thus far...
* Pas, and I went with Mel, Simon, Laurent and a few others to Calgary to watch the flames get beat by Tampa Bay surprisingly but it was still alot of fun.
* Went shopping and bought a new MP3 player and bookbag. Pas is really fun to shop with :D
* Had drinks afterwards a place called Melrose Cafe and Grill, nice but was really tired at this point. Had to laugh cause Laurent wanted us all to go to a strip club hehehe Some of the girls turned pale!
* On Monday Marko, Pas' friend from Cheeseland, came back from Vancouver to hang out with us one more day before he returned home.
* Pas and Everett made us bison and duck with a side caesar for supper Yum! :)
* Tuesday I worked and it was boring....
* Wednesday I had off and did nothing cause I wasn't feeling well so that was boring too :(
* Today work was, guess what boring (when you don't really have any guests in the hotel it doesn't make your day go by fast)
News was broken to us this week (even though front desk knew before alot of other departments) that the hotel is closing for 2 weeks at the end of April because of the lack of business. This cause mixed reactions. For some it's not a big deal since they were already leaving before then. For others it sucks since they either weren't planning on leaving till sometime in early May and now have to change flight plans or were counting on working for that time cause they need the money. For me it's a good thing since that means (hopefully) I'll get to leave around the 20th of April. Praying that that is the case.
I wrote an email to the general manager at Fox harbour a couple of days ago stating, in a polite way, that we need to send off Pas' LMO and Visa applications soon as possible cause of the time factor. He wrote back saying that another person was going to be taking care of all of it but we just need to wait for her to contact us so she can ask Pas a few questions to complete the application form. Can you say FRUSTRATING!!! I understand they are busy but I will rest a little bit easier once I know that this application has been sent off and then all we have to do is just wait. When all is said and done and if this gets all approved, then we can really celebrate!
Positive thoughts everyone :)
Well that's it for now. More point forms later.

Thursday
* Worked 6:30 till 3pm, work was ok
* Met Pascal after work cause he was off, he got to go the hill, lucky duck!
* We went on a beautiful winter walk through the camp ground and took beautiful pictures like this one here. Pas is a good guide, plus I got to stare at his bum as he walked ahead of me :)
* Pascal and I went for dinner at Fanny and Bernd's, really good (Note to self: German cook's take offence when you don't finish all your dinner)
* Went back and watched part of Princess Mononokie with Pascal (good movie!)
Friday
* Worked again 6:30 till 3pm, work again was ok
* Came home and went skating with Ashly for a bit (ice sucked though)
* Hung out with Ashly at home, later joined by Ryan
* Ryan and I went to dance night (which also sucked) but met up with Katie. Stayed for almost an hour than left, went to B & G, stayed for 5 mins than went home.
* I chilled with Pascal and others as we celebrated Dylan's last night here in LL(he'll be back but we'll be gone)
* Pascal and I watched the rest of Princess Mononokie
What I failed to mention was that I got a charming email from Paula yesterday. I wrote her saying that she didn't need to worry about paying her share of the power bill since she never even bothered to write back and address the issue. I said that I was a little disapointed since it wasn't my bill to pay. She wrote back " This whole thing has been a disappointment and still is and I didn't realize how much I'd miss Parkland so when I heard the power bill wasn't paid I got a surprise and then I thought I'm not dealing with this. And another thing, your mom said everything will be ok, but it 's not. This move was way harder on me than I thought.I don't need any nasty words so don't bother responding because I'm putting this out of my mind. Maybe you'll remember this if you ever have roomates again! "
At this point I am Pissed Off! I decided not to bite my tounge anymore and this is what I wrote back! ....
Well guess what I am responding cause I am mad! Paula you are a nice person and I enjoyed living with you most of the time but i'm sorry, I carried you when we lived together, I'm sorry to say. Yeah we shared on the cleaning but I organized the bill payments, I found ALL THE ROOMMATES, I put up with most of the stress living there! I got us both out of financial trouble by finding roommates.!I'm sorry Paula, your just angry cause there was no one there to carry you! I feel bad saying it but maybe if I say it than at least you will know what it was like for me. You are acting like a child and not at all like the smart 31 year old I know you are! You hate change and pissed off cause my moving out forced you to change your life! You never had to move out but you got too confused and too scared cause you couldn't organize it on your own. You bad mouth me to my friends and guess what they tell me cause they are MY FRIENDS AND YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!!! I made you sign a receipt cause that is what you are supppose to do when you give money to someone! I don't care if you read all this or not but I'm telling you how I feel cause I think you need to GROW UP! I'm sorry Paula, I didn't mean for this to effect our friendship cause I do think you are a really nice person and wish you all the best!
I was so mad at the time but it felt really good to say how I felt! I had been bottling it up for awhile but I needed to say it and, if she reads it, she needs to hear it.
So today I am going to work for 2:30pm and than after that, it's my weekend!!! Yay!!! Going to Calgary tomorrow to shop and go see the Calgary vs Tampa bay game with Pas and some other people from work. Should be fun! Well I should run and have a shower :)

A.I.
What a sad and beautiful movie. We watched it last night and even though I was extremely tired and had a hard time keeping my eyes open, I watched it all. The movie really defines how far someone will go for the one they love. Beautiful! Ending was a little different but satisfying.

Yay! I didn't die on the ski hill!
That's right, no broken bones, no scars, no impaling anyone with my skis..wooo whoooo! I must admit I was a little nervous when Ashly came knocking on our door Monday morning asking us if we were gonna go to the hill. I said it was Pascal's call, and he decided that we should go. So I scrambled to get gear together from some of our neighbours (ie//goggles, gloves, helmet, etc...) So we were able to be out the door and ready by the time the next bus came around.
Pascal was doing really well to try to calm my nerves.
We than get to the hill, I go and rent my skis (free coupon for a high performance ski package rental..sweet!) and than proceed to the bunny hill.
We get on the t-bar which is foreign to Pascal again since he hasn't used it in ages..but like a trooper he stuck with me the few times we went on there.
Afterwards we met Everett, Ashly and Lance and we all went down Pinecomb together. It was such a cool feeling! I wasn't as scared the last time I went down and some of my technique is improving.
The day went really well and after a couple of times on Pinecomb, Ashly asked if I wanted to go down Wiwaxy (The run I froze on the last time I was there) I said yes. I was doing really well untill I had a big wipe out that scared me a little just cause of the way I fell (mind you I had already fallen a couple of times that day) Pascal was right there making sure I was alright and was with me till I got up. I eventually made it down the hill but I was anxious to leave. I really hope I'm not back to square one again! It frustrates me how little kids and the elderly can pick this up faster than me. Everyone said I did really good but i'm a tougher critic!
We went back home, I talked on the phone with my family (even Pascal got to talk to my mom for a little bit...so cute! :D) Than we went back over to Ev's and Ash's for some homemade dinner via Pascal. Such a good cook! He make a Swiss dish called Grah Tah (i think that's how you spell it) and it was delicious! Pasta with vegies, ham and bacon hmmmm :) After that we watched Eagleeye and than came home for a much needed rest since I worked at 6:30 this morning.
All in all a good day and I was very proud of myself for getting back on the figuritive horse and trying it again. Thanks to all for the support! Specially you Pas!
To end this post, a beautiful winter setting pic in Lake Louise :)

Hockey anyone?
Last night was the "tight and bright" party over at Amy's. I can't believe how drunk I got again. Will I ever learn. It was fun but wow I'm surprised I didn't write the whole day off today. When I woke up I did not feel that spectacular but that soon wore off. I had to go get some eats afterwards so I headed over to Ev's and Ash's place to see what was up. I found a very hung over but happy Ashly, Everett and Mike. Mike, Ev and I decided to go for a wrap at Trailhead and then go check out the skating wrink to see what the conditions were like. To my pleasant surprise they were actually really good. So we rounded up the rest of the troups (Pascal, Ryan and eventually Ashly) and went skating. It was so much fun! We must have been out there for at least 2 and a half hours. I even played a little hockey and you know what...I didn't suck! Pascal came over to me for a big hug and it was soo romantic, looking into each others eyes...until we both fell haha, too funny :)
We then went to the hostel after that for some food and then back to our place. I tried to watch Madagascar 2 with Ev and Ash but I kept falling asleep so instead I joined Pas for a little nap (awe).
Now were awake and gonna go over and watch The F word with Gordon Ramsey over at #9. What will happen tomorrow? Stay tunned to find out on...."Life in Lake Louise"

Yay a Visit from Jennifer!
Jennifer and her man, Chris stopped by last night around 7 for a little visit. It was so good to see her! Made me miss home a wee bit. We went for dinner in the Outpost with my roommate Ryan. That little stinker Jennfier paid for everything! She said it was my birthday gift. Than of course they couldn't stay long enough for me to pay for any drinks for her which I could give her for a belated bday gift. Oh well, I'll get you next time my pretty..heee muhha hhaaaa haaa MUHA HAHHAAHAA! (*cough*) What was nice about her visit too is that she got to meet Pascal (That's right girls, sorry she's the first to meet him) He came out from the kitchen to say hello. It was so cute, Jennifer was like "oh everyone is excited to meet you back home, Alice talks so much about you!" That won't scare him much haha! It's too bad they couldn't stay longer to get to know him better and just to hangout, but I understand that they needed to get back to the hotel. The rest of the night was just spent hanging out at the bar waiting for Pascal with Ryan, Patricia, Jeff, and a few other staff.
Tonight is the 'Tight and Bright' party at Amy's. Well i don't have much bright or tight clothes so I'll make do with what I have.
Well I should skiddatle off to work :( Yay! Today's my Friday! At least that's something!

I FOUND MY CAMERA! CAN YOU TELL I'M HAPPY!
YAY!!!CAMERA!!!! let us never fight again! I went over to number 8 last night for..guess what..another party..and I found my Camera buried deep in one of the couch cushions. It's so weird how we never saw it there before. Oh well, I am super excited! Plus now I get to put my pics up on facebook! Muaa haa haa haa
So of course I seem to get all my family news on facebook lately and I find out that my cousin had her baby yesterday! Congradulations Kaitlyn on the safe arrival of baby Colin. As far as I can see mother and son are doing just fine. You can definatley tell he's a Cameron! Look forward to seeing him and everyone when I get back to NS.
So I came home after work last night and I found this little guy sitting on my kitchen counter. A turnip candle holder! Pascal had made it for me! Isn't that cool! He showed it to me when I breifly stopped by the kitchen yesterday but I didn't know it was for me. Sometimes I can be pretty clueless :)
Well have to rev up to work at 2:30. It was so horribly slow last night. Tonight shouldn't be too bad we actually have about 18 arrivals, which doesn't sound like much but it's actually pretty good. So long as they don't all arrive before we get in.
Oh, note to self: Have to fill in the work visa forms and housing forms for Pascal. Still waiting on my contract from Fox Harbour which should arrive in the mail today or tomorrow. Have to call or write Megan too cause I need to know if she sent off my T4 slip.
That's it for now :)

Bored at work :(
Guess where I'm at!!! Booo! Work! Oh well at least I get to go home probably in the next 30 minutes. Depending on how early William is.
Last night was alot of fun! Pascal made Ashly, Everett, Ryan and I cheese fondu. It wasn't too bad but I don't know if i'm a fan of that liquid cheese. He melted some kind of Swiss cheese (i'm pretty sure) and then added some white wine to it. Then he cut up bread into tiny pieces to place on scewers. It was simple but nice. Than we just listened to music and eventually went back to Everett and Ashly's to hang out. Stu and Carole were there. I guess Stu broke his shoulder while doing some fancy snowboarding moves. Makes me want to get out on the hill even faster :S
Lots of people seem to be hurting themselves lately while on the hill. Fena, the new hostess, possibly broke her wrist today while up there. Definatley trying to keep my distance of the hill, in a way, even though I paid for the bloody pass and I should use it.
Last night Pascal and I had a break through of sorts. Can't really talk about it on here (and no girls it's not what you're thinking but if you want to know you can ask me) But for me it was a big step!
I lost my camera at Shelly's and it still hasn't turned up yet. Looked everywhere for that damn thing! I really want it back. It makes me a little sick to think that someone at the party might have taken it. I mean, it was all staff that we work with that was there, that's it! But how well do you know some people. I know there's a couple of people I suspect but I feel bad for thinking that way. Don't really have a choice in a way. I'm probably never going to get it back and just have to accept it. Just makes me mad and a little sad.
Well suppose I should finish up the last of my work before I shove off. Later!

The Weekend Run Down
Well Valentine's Day wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We had a pretty much smooth shift at the desk. Even though we had 60 sum odd checkins we still had it under control which is really good. I came home and Pascal had left a chocolate covered heart in my fridge. Very nice :) A sweet from a sweetie..awe! I gave him his card which he really liked and we even had some champagne too. Well enough about that pointless holiday....
Sunday Pascal, Simon, Melanie and I went to Canmore to visit Laurent at his condo. Wow! Does he ever have a nice condo! And alot of fishes..like 3 huge fish tanks full of fish! Than after that we drove to Banff to go watch a movie. I had no idea what we were going to see as we were waiting in line. I guess everyone else did. Laurent really wanted to see He's just not that into you. So that's what we watched much to somes dismay. I have to say thought that the movie wasn't that bad. It was the better thing to see than some of our other choices (ie// Pink Panther 2, Friday the 13th) Even Pascal, who didn't really care to see it, laughed at some of the funny parts. I liked what some of the movie had pointed out about relationships. All in all it wasn't bad.
Than we went to a place called Caribous and I ordered a roasted chicken pizza which was very good but very filling. Luckily Laurent was there to gladly finish off the pizza which I was kind of hoping to take home with me but didn't want to seem rude. Oh well! He seemed like he had a good time. It was nice we could hang out with him since he's been so depressed since his girlfriend left him.
We headed back to LL (minus Laurent) and went to Rhiannon's going away party. It started out quite tame but than as the night went on so did everyone else. Boy, did I get drunk, but I had a lot of fun. Everyone else too was pretty drunk too. I was trying to look after Ashly but instead i think she had to kind of look after me too. Pascal wasn't drunk so come the end of the night he was ready to take me home (mainly cause I was proped up against a wall with my face buried in it) So we went back to his place, he changed me into his spare pj's and fell right to sleep. Waking up was fun! Not!!!! But feeling much better now.
When i came back to my place I found out that Dave (the local Drunk guy) stopped by our place to crash on our couch cause he was too drunk to walk home. Unfortunately during the night he had got sick all over Illenia's bathroom and she came down stairs to find that mess and Dave sleeping naked on our couch (which would be a very scary sight!) So for the time being we have banned him from our house to teach him a lesson. Sounds mean but we need to do it. He's just too much to handle sometimes. He's a nice guy but just gets too wasted all the time.
Today Pascal wants to make a cheese fondu for me and our friends. Hmmm cheese!!!! Can't wait. Don't think we'll go to the Casino today but we can always go another time.

Counting down the days!
Yep that pretty much says it all. I am so sick of the way people handle stress at the Post Hotel. I'm also sick of my supervisor being so condensending with me and the rest of the FD staff. Yes, I might have missed one or two things today but that's cause I was dealing with 20 THINGS AT ONCE! I sort of losted my temper a little bit today with it..which is about time. But I really try to not let it get to me. My supervisor and the other person covering the evening shift had came in to take over the shift since we were done and we were giving them our pass alongs. One story I had they were just like "well just give it to reservations!" I was like trying to explain why but they weren't really listening so i said in a very frustrated voice "Alright, I'll do it! My God I'll go talk to Sarah even though she's really busy!" And then of course I go to talk to Sarah and she was too busy but she did it anyway but wasn't happy. So that made three people pissy today (Including Melody my morning Partner) We worked hard today but of course no "good job guys!" Can't wait to leave this place!
Oh well, came home, did a laundry, talked to my mom, had a three hour nap (cause I only had 4 hours sleep last night cause of Shelly's party, It was fun!) Had something to eat, and now just hanging with my roomy.
Not looking forward to tomorrow cause it will be crazy busy at the hotel and that means more unbearable stressful people. How many more days is it until I leave?!!!

I love Arts n Crafts (lately)
Well another work day done. I hate these shifts where I work 2:30pm till 11pm and than the next day 6:30 till 3pm..they can be very tiring even if you don't have a lot to do that morning.
Jonathan's mother called me today to see if I could arrange to have a cake ordered for him for his bday and she would pay for it. She is such a sweet lady. I said no problem and put an order in with the kitchen. I also made a homemade bday card for him and am currently getting the staff to sign it (I know, I'm really into arts n crafts lately)
I met Pascal and his friend last night at the Out Post for a bit which was nice and than we walked home. Later on Pascal came over and was sort of freaking out about Valentine's Day (it was so funny and cute) He told me that he saw one of the other cooks making something for his girlfriend for Vday and that he felt bad cause now he was going to have to make something. I explained to him that he didn't have to get me anything, but he's catching on to how us women think. We say we don't want anything but a little part of us likes getting a little something. I told him he doesn't need to worry. He buys me things all the time and I ask him not to but he does it anyway, so there should be no exception for Vday (It's such a stupid day)
Tonight is Shelly's party. Can only go for a little bit since I work at 6:30. I'm gonna miss her. She's such a sweet girl!
Ellen finally has her wedding date, Aug 26th whoo hooo! Now the real planning can begin. I still need to call those hotels and see what they can give us for rates. Should also contact Joanna about photos and what she charges.
Well I think I might take a quick nap :)

Pizza for Breakfast?
So Pascal came over last night and he bought me a mini pizza from the outpost. Ok, I'm sorry but I have to say this again that he is just so sweet! I didn't eat it last night but I am having it now for my...breakfast? I guess? Not the healthy choice but at least it is something I can eat before I head out to work soon.
We got Pascal's contract for Fox Harbour in the mail yesterday. Very official. In it is his offer of employment letter, a summary of his position, housing form and just some other odds and ends. We're gonna go over all of it tomorrow when we're both free and also fill out his work permit renewal form that we'll send in soon. It's exciting cause now we're putting plans in motion :)
Work was sooo slow yesterday. Five checkins but that certainley wasn't enough to keep us busy. Well I'll know I'll be busy this weekend. The hotel is hosting..of course..a Valentine's day wedding so we're expecting quite a few people for that. Actually this week sounds like it's also going to be busy for social events too. Thursday is Shelly's going away party, Friday night is Dance night and Saturday night the Phillipinos are having a Valentine's Day Party at their place so we might go and check that out.

No big plans for Valentine's day (I'm not that big of fan anyway of the so called holiday) but I think we might have a bottle of wine or champaign. I am making a card for him. This is what I have so far. (See bottom of page). Oh, the words that are in ALL CAPS are replaced with actual pictures for those words. It's just they didn't copy over when I pasted it on here. Also I have found this cute cartoon of a cook that I think looks pretty similar to him (hehe) which I am going to put on the cover. Ok I know, I just said Valentine's day sucks but arts n' crafts are pretty cool :)
When I first met you, you took the last of my MONEY at my first POKER GAME The second time we met I had had a little too much WINE to drink and was a little DRUNK We had all stayed up talking till 5AM in the morning.
After awhile you and I became really good FRIENDS and hung out quite a bit. We watched MOVIES at closure. Played with your SLINGSHOT which made the wall look like SWISSCHEESE We even threw some SNOWBALLS at people in their houses. You drew a PICTURE for me and you even brought me back a me TALKING WHALE PUPPET
from Vancouver. You’ve teached me some words IN GERMAN, you have COOKED for me and also looked after me when I was SICK AS A DOG You have done so many good things for me but the best thing you did for me was me was KISSED ME at the staff CHRISTMAS party. It gave me BUTTERFLIES in my stomach and made me very HAPPY and it still does. Pascal, you are kind, smart, funny, a great cook, attractive and all around great guy! I’m very to have you in my WORLD I just want to say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY SWIZZLE STICK!
Even though it’s a holiday I’d like to really KICK IN THE PANTS
